Legião Urbana

Legião Urbana
Legião Urbana was a Brazilian rock band formed in Brasília in the early 1980s, widely recognized as one of the most influential groups in Brazilian popular music. Their sound combined elements of post-punk, new wave and traditional rock, marked by poetic, introspective and often socially conscious lyrics written primarily by frontman Renato Russo. Active mainly through the 1980s and 1990s, the band's recordings ranged from driving, anthemic rock to acoustic balladry, featuring melodic arrangements and stark, emotive vocal delivery. Their work addressed themes of love, politics, identity and urban life, resonating across generations in Brazil.
