Dan Swanö is a Swedish musician, songwriter and producer known for his work in metal and progressive rock-oriented styles. Active since the late 1980s, he has been involved in a range of projects across death metal, progressive metal, melodic death metal and related extreme and experimental subgenres, performing as a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and studio engineer. Swanö is recognized for blending aggressive metal elements with melodic, progressive arrangements and layered vocal approaches, often combining harsh vocals with clean singing and complex song structures. He is also noted for producing and mixing recordings for numerous Scandinavian metal acts, and for operating in both band contexts and solo projects.
