Grupo Frontera, emerging in the early 2020s from Texas, is known for norteño, regional Mexican, and tejano-influenced music, often featuring accordion-led melodies and romantic balladry alongside upbeat ranchera and cumbia rhythms. Both acts have been active in the 2020s and are noted for updating regional Mexican genres for younger, bicultural audiences.
