Eurythmics is a British pop-rock duo formed in London in the early 1980s by singer and songwriter Annie Lennox and musician-producer Dave Stewart. Emerging from the post-punk and new wave era, their work blends synth-pop, new wave, rock and soul influences, characterized by prominent synthesizer arrangements, melodic hooks, and Lennox’s distinctive contralto vocals and theatrical persona.
