Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne (born John Michael Osbourne on December 3, 1948, in Birmingham, England) is an English singer, songwriter, and television personality famous as the frontman of Black Sabbath and as a solo artist. He co-founded Black Sabbath in 1968, helping pioneer heavy metal; the band’s early albums include Paranoid (1970). After leaving Black Sabbath in 1979, he launched a successful solo career with hits like Crazy Train, Mr. Crowley, and Mama, I’m Coming Home. Known for his distinctive operatic vocal style, dramatic stage persona, and reality TV presence (The Osbournes, 2002–2005), he’s earned multiple awards, including Grammy Awards and a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (as a member of Black Sabbath in 2006). He continues to influence rock and metal music, releasing albums and performing tours while also hosting his annual Ozzfest festival in earlier years.
